At age 9, Anthony Christian was recognized as a child art prodigy while studying the techniques of the Renaissance Masters at the National Gallery in London. He later became a well-known portrait painter of the world’s rich and famous. He painted, among others, Lord Mountbatten of Burma, Baroness Fiona Thyssen-Bornemisza, Blake Edwards and Julie Christie. His work is in the private collections of Gore Vidal, Baroness Marie-Helene de Rothschild, Bill Blass and HM Queen Elizabeth II.

A world traveler, Anthony Christian is fascinated with the exotic and sensual. He has lived in interesting and remote parts of the world such as Africa, Asia, India. In each place, he set up his studio and painted from the inspiration he found there.
